As part of its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, AFG College with the University of Aberdeen announced it will be celebrating International Women's Day with a special inspiring event under the theme 'Embrace Equity'.
Under the distinguished patronage of Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh al-Thani, chairperson of Al Faleh Educational Holding, AFG College with the University of Aberdeen will hold its 5th International Women’s Day Conference on March 8, at Le Royal Meridien Hotel.
“We are honoured to host the annual conference on International Women's Day to shed light on women's empowerment and their contribution to our communities. Embracing equity for women is a crucial matter that leads to better communities and generations. This conference is part of our continuous effort to raise awareness of women's issues. We are confident that the motivational speakers will ignite discussions on this increasingly critical topic in our lives,” said, Dr Sheikha Aisha.
The annual conference will feature inspiring keynote speakers including Iman Ereiqat, chief of mission at International Organisation for Migration, Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad al-Thani, deputy chief executive officer of Qatar Financial Centre and Chief Business Officer of Qatar Financial Centre, as well as Amal Ameen, Qatari entrepreneur and a visual artist, interior designer and fashion executive.
The event will also include a panel discussion for representatives of diplomatic delegations in Qatar, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices on promoting gender equality.
