The third edition of Qatar Olympic Committee Beach Games 2023 will get underway on Friday at the Cultural Village Katara and will run from 10th to 17th of March.
Participants from different age groups have completed registration process for the community’s most loving beach games, including beach football, volleyball, 3x3 basketball, boxing, karate, swimming go and duathlon. Organising Committee has allocated a total QR500,000 in prize money for winners.
Most notably, the registration process for the games went smoothly and quickly, showing how high response from participants, lovers and amateurs of different age groups and how value of these games in the mindset of this sport loving community.
This tournament is one of the community events and activities organised by the QOC annually to take all individuals of the society to greater standards of health and to improve their physical fitness. In a pre-games statement, the games’ head of marketing and communication committee, Mohamed Hamad al-Meanis has confirmed that this championship is a regular stop and most loving event everyone wait is annually, it became of most prominent community events in the country.
“Qatar Olympic Committee is always keen to add new games annually amid the rising turnout from public. We started off our first edition with three games, followed by five games in the second edition, as the number raised up to seven games in this edition due to the big respond from all community members,” said al-Meanis.
Head of Marketing and Communication Committee has also appreciated efforts of all partners, sponsors and suppliers at top of them, Katara Cultural Village (official partner), Attraction (official sponsor), Vodafone (official sponsor), Elan (official supplier) and LuLu Hypermarket (official supplier) and gave a letter of thanks to these public and private institutions for their patriotic role to support our sport and community events and being at the heart of annual sport events that organised by the Qatar Olympic Committee after hosting the inaugural ANOC World Beach Games in Doha in October 2019.
The tournament is one of the community events and activities organised by the QOC
