Qatar University (QU) alumni gathered and reconnected at the Alumni Reunion 2023 this week.
The event was attended by a number of dignitaries, distinguished guests, senior officials, faculty and staff.
As part of the event, QU alumnus and HE the Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie was honoured.
He holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, a master’s degree in Business Administration, and a PhD in Management from the QU.
QU Alumni Association president and HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali al-Thani, in his speech, urged the alumni to maintain contact with their alma mater.
During the ceremony, a documentary highlighting the efforts of the QU Alumni Association, among other sectors in the QU, was shown.
The Alumni Relations Office manager Buthaina Ibrahim Lanaqwi spoke about the importance of the occasion bringing together generations of QU alumni.
She called on them to participate effectively in serving their university from their areas of work.
