Qatar Charity (QC) has signed an agreement with Al Rawabi Group as part of a partnership and co-operation in the fields of humanitarian and community work.
Under the agreement, Al Rawabi Group becomes a ‘Charity Partner’ (CP) of QC and has been awarded the 'CP' trademark in the bronze category within the framework of the social responsibility programmes of Qatar Charity.
The agreement was signed by Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO’s assistant for the Resources Development and Media Sector at Qatar Charity, and Sheikh Khalid bin Hassan Abdu Rahman al-Thani, director of Al Rawabi Group.
Al Rawabi Group donated QR100,000 as part of its partnership and co-operation in the field of humanitarian and community work.
The agreement is part of Al Rawabi’s keenness to participate in the programmes and activities, organised by Qatar Charity to help and support deserving persons, as part of its social responsibility and humanitarian duty.
Fakhroo expressed happiness at the signing of the ‘CP’ agreement with Al Rawabi and inauguration of Rawabi Hypermarket, Izghawa.
He said Qatar Charity is keen to involve organisations and companies in charitable activities by signing ‘CP’ agreements, noting that it aims to establish partnerships with a larger number of companies this year to allow them to contribute to community services and charitable projects.
Fakhroo also referred to the previous co-operation between Qatar Charity and Al Rawabi Group for many joint Ramadan projects, in addition to other programmes that will be implemented under the ‘CP’ programme.
On signing the agreement, Sheikh Khalid said: “We are proud to associate with Qatar Charity, whose efforts to alleviate poverty and provide help and support to those in need across the world irrespective of caste, creed and religious beliefs is a shining example of Qatari culture."
