The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced the discounted consumer goods list for the holy month of Ramadan (1444 AH) 2023.
The list includes more than 900 commodities and the discounted prices, which are offered in co-ordination with major consumer and retail entities.
The initiative came into effect yesterday and continues until the end of the holy month.
"On the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, we are pleased to announce the discounted consumer goods initiative from March 12 until the end of the holy month," the ministry said in a tweet.
The reduced prices will help meet the needs of families in terms of food and other products during the blessed month, the MoCI said.
The list of discounted consumer goods covers all essential goods needed during the holy month, including flour and related products, grains, corn, dairy products, milk powder, butter, cheese, juices, ghee, salt, cooking oil, pasta, rice, nuts, meat and poultry items and other products, in addition to non-food commodities such as soap, tissue, aluminium foil, detergents and washing powders, as well as other items consumed in large quantities during Ramadan.
The full list of discounted consumer goods can be found here.
The annual initiative comes in line with the ministry's goal to meet citizens and residents’ increased consumer goods requirements at reduced prices during Ramadan.
