Qatar Charity (QC), through its community development centres in Al Rayyan and Al Khor, organised two programmes for girls in the spring break to allow them to learn artistic and manual skills in an entertaining form.
The two programmes included educational and recreational visits and training workshops with the participation of specialised trainers.
The five-day ‘Spring Joy’ programme was organised by the Qatar Charity Centre for Community Development, Al Rayyan, for 10-16 year age groups.
The programme included various competitions and events, practical and theoretical training workshops, such as drawing on glass, printing on clothes, flower-arranging and manual skills development, in addition to a visit to the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).
Besides, the Qatar Charity Centre for Community Development, Al Khor, in co-operation with the Al Khor Girls Centre, organised the ‘Lavender’ programme for 10-15 year age groups. It focused on raising the aesthetic sense of the participants in choosing colours, designs and handicrafts, in adding to preparing them for the blessed month of Ramadan through various activities.
The programme contained several interesting and entertaining training workshops such as drawing on cups, making bags for Garangao, and the basics of choosing colours and designs.
