Al Wakrah Municipality's inspectors, in co-operation with the General Cleanliness Department, have carried out an inspection campaign on the food stores at the Logistic Village area to ensure compliance with the standard food health and safety regulations.
The campaign resulted in confiscating and destroying three tonnes of expired food products that were unsuitable for human consumption. A violation report was issued regarding this incident according to law no 8 for 1990 on the regulations of human food control.
Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality's Health Control Section has carried a number of intensive inspection campaigns, which resulted in shutting five food outlets for violating the stipulations of law no 8 for 1990 on the regulations of human food control.
