Qatar Oryx chapter of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) conducted a technical workshop.
Around 100 designers, construction and facility management engineers from various sectors including Qatar Foundation and Hamad International Airport attended the event. Kou Fei, senior engineer, Midea was the visiting keynote speaker and Seenu S Pillai, a longtime ASHRAE member, the guest speaker. Qatar Oryx Chapter advisory board chairman Hassan Sultan welcomed the gathering. President Kinan Fahs was the main co-ordinator. Dharani Pillai introduced the speakers.
ASHRAE founded in 1894, has over 56,000 members with 183 chapters from 132 nations divided into 15 regions. The Qatar Oryx chapter formed in 2008 has about 260 members.
