Qatar Charity (QC) continues to launch and implement several development and seasonal projects in many areas of Ghana in West Africa.
This comes with the participation of a delegation from QC, several volunteers and social media influencers, as part of its ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign.
The projects include Ramadan Iftar tables, food package distribution to poor families and orphans, and the opening of a mosque in Breman Brakwa in the Central Region, Ghana.
Ahmmed Omar AlSherawi, director of the Customer Service Department at QC and head of the delegation, said: “The visit of Qatar Charity’s delegation comes to closely see the implementation of the projects under the ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign and deliver assistance, in addition to launching other development projects and several health campaigns for needy patients, especially eye patients and children with a cleft lip.”
The residents of Breman Brakwa expressed their joy at the completion of the construction of the mosque, which was inaugurated, thanking the benefactors and Qatar Charity for their efforts in the implementation of the project.
Besides, the delegation of QC visited one of the orphanages in the capital, Accra, where they had a good time with the orphans sponsored by Qatar Charity.
The members of the delegation also attended a Ramadan Iftar table set up by QC at the Ghana National Mosque in the capital, which benefited 400 people, including orphans and their families, fasting people in the surrounding area, and students from a Holy Qur'an memorisation centre in the region.
They also attended the distribution of 300 food packages to poor families through Qatar Charity’s office. The distribution will be completed in the coming days.
Under the ‘Feed the Fasting’ project’ the delegation also participated in the preparation of Iftar meals at a charity kitchen. The project in Ghana aims to provide 50,000 Iftar meals.
