Qatar Chamber’s director of International Relations and Chamber Affairs and secretary-general of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Qatar has won in the World Chambers Federation (WCF) General Council elections
Sheikha Tamader al-Thani will begin her first term from 2023 to 2025 as a member of the WCF General, it was announced by Qatar Chamber in a statement.
She was elected by the WCF’s chamber members, who took to the AwardStage platform to cast their votes for 20 candidates last year.
Sheikha Tamader was among the highly-competitive candidates and chamber leaders from 37 countries covering every region of the world, who submitted their candidacy to serve on the WCF General Council and expressed readiness and commitment to protect the role of chambers of commerce and support the WCF in its role of representing the global interests of chambers within the ICC.
The WCF General Council is the governing body that sets the strategic direction and development of WCF’s services. It is part of the World Chambers Federation, a unique branch of the ICC that connects, leads, and inspires the global network of chambers and their respective business communities.
It represents the interest of over 1,400 chambers from around the world. The World Chambers Federation also strengthens links among chambers and helps individual chambers better serve their business communities.
