QNB Group has received ‘Recognition of Partnership’ award from Visa, highlighting its remarkable role in developing and implementing innovative payment products in the market, as well the strong collaboration between the two organisations in delivering a very successful edition of the FIFA World Cup. During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, QNB and Visa, effectively implemented a number of innovative payment products like deploying almost 5,500 contactless payment terminals at the venues including the stadiums, fan zones and other payment points, and about 90% of the processed transactions were on contactless basis, providing greater payment efficiency and a seamless experience for both residents and international visitors.
