Aisha Bint Hamad Al-Attiyah Hospital performs eye surgeries

Following its official opening in November 2022, Aisha Bint Hamad Al-Attiyah hospital has performed the first eye surgeries, it was announced Tuesday.

“At Aisha Bint Hamad Al-Attiyah hospital we provide the best healthcare services to all patients delivered by professional medical teams using the latest technologies," said opthalmology head Dr Abdulrahman al-Muhannadi.

"The ophthalmology outpatient clinics receive referrals from Al Khor hospital and healthcare centres across Qatar and since we started performing eye surgeries, we have successfully performed four surgeries a week including eyelid procedures, pterygium and cataract. Patients were discharged on the same day after receiving healthcare,” he explained.

The Aisha Bint Hamad Al-Attiyah Hospital is one of Hamad Medical Corporation’s community hospitals located to the north of Qatar, just south of Al Khor. The hospital provides specialised healthcare services to northern area population and enables them to receive the healthcare services they need within their area, instead of commuting to Doha.

This general hospital features an emergency department, operating theatres, obstetrics and gynaecology service, neonatal intensive care, outpatient clinics, robotic pharmacy, radiology services, dialysis department and rehabilitation unit.
