The Qatari Forum for Authors hosted writer Andalus Ibrahim, who specialises in children's literature, within "The Story" initiative run by Director General of the Qatari Forum for Authors, Dr Aisha Jassim al-Kuwari.

The "The Story" initiative is broadcasted via the forum's channel on YouTube and social media platforms. The episode highlighted the inception of writing and the cultural contributions of the writer.

Andalus Ibrahim spoke about writing during her childhood, including the encouragement and support she received from her family and school which have largely contributed to framing the talent and its emergence. She said she has worked as programme presenter in the Al Jazeera channel for children, and sought to refine her talent through training and participation in several courses and workshops.

Every child has numerous talents and the responsibility of discovering, incubating and developing that talent rests on the shoulders of family, she said calling on parents to focus on their child's needs.

Encourage the child's talents and dedicate qualitative time for them because this affects the character of children and leads to building leadership tenets in children, such as trust, ambition and perseverance, she stressed.

Development of the community and its openness are essentially based on the healthy and balanced relationship, including the positive environment within the family, Andalus Ibrahim noted.
