The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has distributed 5,000 gifts as part of its programme "The joy of Eid" to give happiness and joy for childern during Eid Al Fitr Holidays. The distribution of these gifts took places at 30 prayer yards at various areas across the country supported by waqf fund for family and childhood care.
In a statement, the General Directorate of Endowments affirmed its keenness to achieve its slogan, "Endowment is a community partnership," with the support of its six endowments banks, and in implementation of the conditions of honorable endowers to spend the proceeds of their endowments for the benefit of serving many sectors of society and its various segments, through cooperation with governmental and private institutions, to effectively contribute to achieving community development and human care in Qatar.
The General Directorate of Endowments called on those wishing to transfer the proceeds of an endowment to one of the endowment banks to register the endowment via the various approved methods.
