The Eid celebrations at Katara - the Cultural Village continued to be among the biggest crowd-pullers in Qatar Sunday, providing high-quality entertainment and recreational activities.

Beginning on the first day of Eid, the festivities included a number of activities and events, with most of them concluding by Sunday, the third day of the holiday period.

One of the biggest attractions was the fireworks show, which was held on Friday and Saturday.

Monday, the Police Training Institute musical band will present its last performances at the Katara Corniche, at 6.15pm, and 7.50pm.

The public also showed great interest in Arab oud event held at 8pm on the first two days of Eid at the Katara Oud Centre in Building 6. Recitals by some distinguished oud musicians, who played a variety of pieces, were highly appreciated by the audience.

Further, the play 'World 2030' was also well-received by Katara's young visitors and families, who were taken on a journey that showed them how to work hard to realise their dreams and aspirations as part of the sustainable development goals and Qatar National Vision 2030.

In the meantime, a social comedy play is being staged for five consecutive days in Katara Building 16. The audience has lauded the play, which features some funny situations that provide a comic take on what happens during the camping season in the Sealine area.

Throughout the holiday period, roaming cartoon characters have played a key role in giving children and grownups alike a good time, as they enjoyed posing for photographs with visitors at Wisdom Square or the Katara Corniche.

The Katara Beach attracted a large number of families who enjoyed the pleasant weather and the various games and activities available there.

Meanwhile, 10 winners will be selected in the Eid best clothes competition, which was open to both boys and girls aged below 15 years.
