The Embassy of Bangladesh organised a reception Sunday on the occasion of the 52nd Anniversary of the Independence and National Day.
HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed al-Thani, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Protocol Department director Ibrahim Fakhro, diplomats and other dignitaries including Gulf Times Editor in Chief Faisal Abdulhameed al-Mudahka were present.
“I would like to congratulate the people of Bangladesh and ambassador Md. Nazrul Islam on the occasion of his country's 52nd Anniversary of Independence and National Day. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Bangladesh on January 25, 1978, bilateral relations between the two friendly countries have deepened, nourished by history, culture, religion and common values. The Bangladeshi labour force has made a significant contribution to the economic development of Qatar,” said al-Mudahka. He wished the Bangladeshi people and Government all success and prosperity and the relations between Qatar and Bangladesh to be further strengthened in the future.
