The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change is participating in the meetings of the Conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, held from May 1 to 12 in Geneva, Switzerland, under the theme 'Accelerating action: Targets for the Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste.'
Qatar's delegation to the meeting comprises Director of the Chemicals and Hazardous Waste Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Dr Mohamed al-Shammari, and engineers Hussein Mohamed and Khalifa al-Dagher.
The meetings will discuss a set of solutions to address the impact of hazardous chemicals and waste on human health and the environment, at the national, regional and global levels.
