The student council members of MES Indian School for the academic year 2023-24 were sworn in at a recent ceremony.
The inductees included school appointees, prefects, club secretaries, house captains, scouts and guides, cubs and bulbuls, campus care force representatives, and band captains.
The chief guest A P Khaleel, president (officiating) and guest of honour Faisal Mayan, director, Moral Education and Islamic Affairs, distributed badges to the newly elected office-bearers of the student council. Principal Dr Hameeda Kadar was present.
The key student officials are Gouresh Gokulanath (junior head boy), Fathima Abdul Gafoor (junior head girl), Ashkar Mohamed V N (senior head boy) and Arundhathi Gopikrishnan (senior head girl).
The senior head boy led the oath-taking ceremony. The fluttering of the four house flags, Blue, Green, Red and Yellow, lent a jubilant ambience and added to the enthusiasm of the students. A march past of students holding house and scout flags was carried out in perfect synchronisation to the beat of the school band. Aishwarya Nair, a teacher representative, welcomed the gathering, and the senior head girl proposed a vote of thanks.
