Engineers Australia has announced that its Global Business Development manager, Astley Pung, who is based in the UK, will visit Qatar from May 14-16 as part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to forge partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders in the region.
During his visit, Pung is expected to meet with top industry leaders and major universities in Qatar to promote Engineers Australia and highlight the benefits of being chartered from Engineers Australia and the immigration of professionals and investors to Australia.
One of the key messages Pung is expected to convey is that Engineers Australia’s agreement with the Ministry of Municipality (Engineers Accrediting & Classifying Committee) allows chartered members of Engineers Australia to obtain (Engineer Registration Certificate) without appearing for the exam. This agreement provides an excellent opportunity for engineers to enhance their career prospects in Qatar and Australia.
Pung’s visit to Qatar will also include meetings with university students and participation in a ‘Thought Leaders Forum’, in collaboration with Western Australia (WA) Invest & Trade, which will organised at the Australian Embassy premises on May 15.
The forum will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain insights into the latest trends and opportunities for investors, engineers, and students. The forum will have a panel discussion by the following panellists, Aziz Saba (Invest and Trade WA), Professor John Evans and Professor Pon Selvan (Curtin University), Omid Honari (Navitas), Karan Joshi (Aussizz Group), and Diana Monis (Austrade).
