The Board of Directors of the Qatar Press Centre (QPC) held a meeting on May 15 at the centre’s headquarters. The meeting was held in the presence of a number of new board members. Chairman of the board, Saad Mohamed al-Rumaihi, welcomed the new members, wishing them success. He also praised the important role played by the former members of the board and the great efforts they made during their membership in the Board of Directors, and wished them success in their career.
The new board discussed the possible means to give Qatari media cadres opportunities to highlight their talents through the centre's activities, by organising exhibitions, workshops, seminars, lectures and other activities that are compatible with the nature of the centre's activities. The board reviewed a number of proposals and took appropriate decisions in their regard, the most important of which is the approval of a proposal to start activating the centre's membership system and to make it available to all mediapersons in Qatar.
The board also approved a proposal to name a number of halls at the centre after leading Qatari personalities.
