Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide funding support for cancer control projects, including, but not limited to, patient experience, improving facilities for cancer patients, improving cancer care, and employee participation in the field of cancer control.
The agreement was signed by Hamad Nasser Abdulla al-Khalifa, chief of Health Facilities Development and acting chief of Business Services, and Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Jabor al-Thani, chairman of QCS, in the presence of several HMC executive leaders and a delegation from QCS.
HMC’s liaison officer who will facilitate this working relationship with QCS, Nasser al-Naimi, deputy chief of Quality for Centre for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement, director for Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, and chairperson of 16000 Health Sector Services, said: “This partnership between HMC and QCS will further strengthen our efforts to deliver our services with a person-centered approach to care, which results to enhancing our patients’ overall experience in HMC.”
Sheikh Dr Khalid added: “We support the principles and values of HMC, and QCS aims to bring these into fruition. We look forward to implementing activities that serve the mutual goals of both QCS and HMC”.
