The Nando’s Master Grillers Challenge serves as a global platform where Nando’s grillers come together to celebrate and showcase the art of grilling. This annual event gathers the finest grillers from more than 20 countries, all vying to demonstrate their exceptional grilling skills. Each participant is evaluated based on their mastery of the specific operational expertise that defines Nando’s flame-grilled, Peri-Peri Chicken and sets it apart.
The judging criteria encompass various aspects, including hygiene practices, efficient racking and loading of grills, achieving perfect flame grill marks, consistent skin coloring, and expert chopping techniques. Furthermore, the chicken prepared by the grillers must meet high standards in terms of tenderness, juiciness, and temperature. The competition ultimately aims to recognize and honor those grillers who consistently deliver outstanding results and uphold the essence of Nando’s unique grilling tradition.
Bishnu Gurung, hailing from the Salwa Road branch of Nando’s, blazed a trail of success in a sizzling competition, ultimately emerging as the triumphant victor and earning the prestigious title of National Master Griller. Bishnu’s unrivaled grilling prowess, coupled with an unwavering passion and commitment to achieving perfection, rightfully earned him this esteemed recognition. As a result of his remarkable achievement, Bishnu Gurung will have the opportunity to represent Nando’s Qatar on the international stage in Malaysia later this year. There, he will go head-to-head against the crème de la crème of Nando’s grillers from around the world, showcasing his skills and vying for top honours.
