The first meeting of the Supreme Committee of the joint tactical exercise for the security services of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Arab Gulf Security 4) was held on Sunday at the National Command Centre (NCC).
The meeting was chaired by Director of Public Security Major General Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Suwaidi. Delegations from the GCC countries participated in the meeting, to discuss mechanisms for developing the Gulf security system, strengthen joint Gulf security cooperation, exchange experiences and coordinate to meet the challenges facing security services.
Major General Al Suwaidi commended the efforts made in the previous Gulf exercises, and the level of performance of the forces who participated in them, stressing the continuation of those efforts in Arab Gulf Security 4, hosted by the State of Qatar.
For his part, Assistant Commander of Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and head of the State of Qatar's delegation in tactical exercise Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Mesfer Al Shahwani said that the meeting addressed several topics, including the scenarios that will be held in the next exercise.
