The winners of the sixth edition of the 'Future Writers' programme, implemented by Qatar Charity (QC) in co-operation with its partners, are keen to develop their skills and continue the journey of creativity in the world of writing.
First place winner and a Qatar University student, Noura Abu Sherida, was participating in the programme for the third time. "I have acquired many skills through this participation, and my talent has developed a lot in writing stories. I dedicate this success to my mother, who encouraged me and prevented me from giving up. I aspire to publish books that combine my passion for writing."
Mohamed al-Ansari, second place winner and a student at the religious institute, said he aspires to continue writing meaningful stories. Lina Farouk, a student at Al-Noor Centre for the Blind, also a second place winner, attributed her participation to her great passion for listening to and reading stories. Third place winner and a student at Al-Karaana Joint School for Boys, Saud al-Ahbabi, recalled that he benefited a lot from the ideas of other writers.
The participants were from 228 schools for boys and girls, Qatar University, Doha University of Science and Technology, Lusail University, Community College of Qatar, in addition to Al-Noor Complex.
The sixth edition of the Future Writers' Programme was implemented in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Qatari Forum for Authors, Qatar University, and sponsored by Dukhan Bank.
