While making preparations to welcome Eid al-Adha, Doha Municipality, represented by the Health Control Section of the Municipal Control Department, has carried out an extensive inspection campaign on major food establishments in the Industrial Area.
The checks, according to an official press statement from the Ministry of Municipality, covered the food production units along with the supply and repackaging companies. During the checks, production lines, storage warehouses, refrigerators, preservation and transportation methods were inspected and the suitability of foodstuffs for human consumption was ascertained.
The officials, during the inspection, also checked whether the workers adhered to the mandatory health requirements. Samples of various types of foodstuffs were also taken and analysed in the central laboratory to ensure their suitability and compliance with required standards.
