HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim a-Thani and France’s Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna chaired Thursday the second strategic dialogue session between Qatar and France at the Amiri Diwan.
During the session, they discussed the strategic relations between the two countries, the outputs of the working groups of the strategic dialogue, and the latest developments in the regional and international situations, especially the Palestinian issue, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
The two parties commended the progress made in strengthening their partnership since the first strategic dialogue in Doha in March last year, affirming their determination and commitment to bolstering co-operation and developing the full potential of their relationship in all fields, especially the outcomes of the dialogue between them.
The two sides also welcomed the signing of a letter of intent for co-operation and partnership in the field of international development between the two countries, under the umbrella of the strategic dialogue on May 26, 2022.
The letter of intent was inked during a visit to Paris by HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lolwah bint Rashid al-Khater, to chair the dialogue-affiliated Development Working Group.
