Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), in co-operation with Qatar Development Bank, organised a four-day training programme on venture capital investments.
The training programme aims to introduce investors and other traders and businessmen wishing to enter this field to the important and basic principles that help them achieve their own goals, and to help them understand the decision-making process that investors go through when identifying sources, selecting startups and supporting them after investment in addition to introducing entrepreneurs wishing to enter this type of investment, to how to obtain the necessary financing, and help them develop and expand their businesses.
The training programme included intensive workshops, where an elite of experts and entrepreneurs shared their expertise in the field of venture investment. The workshops also gave an overview of venture capital investments, and highlighted topics like identifying the sources of good deal flow, building investment criteria for the venture capitalist, investment portfolio strategy, evaluating emerging companies and due diligence, structuring deals, legal documents for venture capital, ensuring sound governance, and the role of the venture capitalist in emerging companies.
In addition, the programme provided the participants with an educational experience rich in simulation models, case studies, and best practices in the field of venture capital investment.
