Qatar Charity (QC) is participating in the 32nd Doha International Book Fair during Jun. 12 to 21, 2023.
At the margins of the fair's inauguration, Assistant CEO of Programs and Community Development Sector at QC Faisal Rashid Al Fahida said QC is always keen to participate in Doha International Book Fair annually because the charity prioritises the cultural aspect to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, pointing out that QC's participation includes the provision of its releases and publications to students and audience.
The QC's pavilion showcases releases in voluntary and humanitarian work with a special corner dedicated to visitors from children, in addition to organising a series of seminars and workshops and launching an array of publications for students who won the fifth edition of the 'My Career-My Future' program that nurtures the cultural scene in Qatar with promising writers.
In addition, the pavilion includes interactive screens for the audience, along with display screens with QC's Alaqraboon application for internal assistance, as well as other screens that are dedicated to publicising QC's code and others.
A myriad of training workshops will be organised during the event, including a workshop on a story reading from Qatari heritage presented by Noora Al Rumaihi on Monday and Friday through which she will discuss aspects of valued Qatari life, in terms of cultural and humanitarian values through a narrative style.
The children's corner at the fair includes many cultural and recreational activities, including a workshop in which children make cardboard rectangles that contain writings or symbols, used to mark locations in books and add an artistic touch to the reading experience.
