As part of the support programmes for sponsored orphans in the Gaza Strip - Palestine, several orphans nominated by the Qatar Charity (QC) office participated in the Rabie Qalbi for the Holy Qur'an competition, implemented by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar.
The competition was implemented under the supervision of a specialised jury remotely, through Microsoft Teams, with the participation of 10 children aged (3-6) years. QC Gaza Strip office director engineer Muhammad Abu Haloub said the competition is part of achieving comprehensive social care for orphans.
The mothers of the orphans participating in the competition expressed their appreciation for the humanitarian and supportive role of QC, which will motivate their children to continue memorising the Holy Qur'an.
Muath Ziyad al-Hawajra, mother of a beneficiary, expressed her hope that these activities will continue. Abdel-Jawad Zourob, mother of another participant said the contest will help her child a lot in enhancing his self-confidence and encouraging him to memorise the Holy Qur'an.
