The ambassador of Qatar to Iraq Khalid bin Hamad al-Sulaiti said that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani's visit to Iraq is of great importance and is widely welcomed by various Iraqi parties.
In a statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), he said that the talks His Highness the Amir will hold with Iraq Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani, on both bilateral and collective levels, will cover various important bilateral, regional and international issues of common concern.
Furthermore, the talks will witness the signing of agreements between Qatar and Iraq, including an Agreement of Joint Intent, an air transport agreement, an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports between the two countries, and the signing of other significant agreements between Qatar businessmen and their Iraq counterparts in the oil and energy sector.
Al-Sulaiti noted that His Highness the Amir's visit to Iraq, which he described as a visit of support to Iraq and its people, affirms the depth of the existing relationship between the two countries in various fields, including in trade, economy and investment co-operation, energy and gas sectors and other fields.
