Doha and other parts of the country experienced windy and dusty conditions Thursday, which led to a drop in visibility in some places.
Strong northwesterly winds with speeds in excess of 35 knots were reported from some areas, resulting in blowing dust and horizontal visibility below 2km.
Giving updates on social media, the Qatar Met department advised people to be careful in the prevailing weather conditions.
Friday's forecast says strong winds are again expected in offshore areas along with high seas.
“Hot to very hot" conditions will prevail in inshore areas, and there could be blowing dust in some places at times.
The temperature is expected to range from 33-44° Celsius in Doha Friday.
