The Medical Unit of the Qatari Haj Mission for the 1444 AH season has arrived in Makkah Al Mukaramah.
The Medical Unit is made up of doctors, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists, with the objective of providing comprehensive medical care to the pilgrims of Qatar during their stay in Makkah whilst they perform the various religious rituals on multiple locations. The medical crew escorting the Qatari Haj Mission consists of 34 of the most skillful physicians in internal medicine, heart, communicable diseases, ear, nose and throat, ambulance, nursing, in addition to two fully equipped ambulance vehicles accompanying the mission in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society.
All medical preparations and arrangements have been finalized in co-ordination with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), alongside professional medical entities in Saudi Arabia to provide essential health care to Qatari pilgrims in the holy sites around the clock.
The unit of the Qatari Haj Mission obtained a licence from the Saudi Ministry of Health to set medical clinics in Makkah. This came as a result of the paramount attention Qatar pays to providing all potential medicines and medical treatments through high-level health services to ensure safety and health for pilgrims of Qatar and help them perform Haj rituals in best conditions.
