Qatar's Consul General in Jeddah Rashid bin Saeed al-Khayarin inaugurated Wednesday the medical unit of Qatari Haj Mission after it was approved by Saudi health authorities.
Al-Khayarin inspected the clinic and its utilities during which he was briefed on the sections and the equipment the mission is providing to Qatar's pilgrims. The unit has clinics for men and women and an emergency section, besides observation and isolation rooms for cases that require medical isolation for all patients whether at its headquarter in Al Aziziyah or in the holy sites in Mina and Arafah.
The medical unit's head said that the unit has competent male and female physicians, nurses and pharmacists who were selected from the list of most skillful medical cadres in order to provide best health services and essential medical aid based on highest standards, adding that he is glad to see a large number of physicians from the medical cadre escorting the Qatari Haj Mission around the clock.
Al-Khayarin commended the exerted efforts dedicated to allocating a new building for the Qatari Haj Mission to provide high standard services to Qatar's pilgrims, as well as medical clinics that are equipped in accordance with the highest health standards that enable them to provide all medical services and health care, in addition to providing all facilitations that help pilgrims perform the rites more easily.
He noted that the consulate is constantly co-operating with the Haj mission and offering all medical services, wishing all pilgrims to safely return to their homeland after performing the Haj rituals, noting the facilitations and services being provided by Saudi Arabia and relevant entities to pilgrims.
