His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani sent a written message to Russian President Vladimir Putin pertaining to bilateral relations and means to support and strengthen these.HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani delivered the message Thursday during a meeting with the president at the Kremlin.At the outset of the meeting, Putin welcomed the PM, entrusting him with his greetings to the Amir, wishing His Highness good health and happiness and lauding the relations between the two leaders as well as relations between the two friendly countries.Putin also expressed his aspiration to enhance co-operation between the two friendly countries in the light of common interest of the leaders of both countries, especially in trade and investment.The PM conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir to the Russian president and His Highness' wishes of good health and happiness for him. He also expressed his thanks to President Putin for the warm reception, underlining the outstanding relations that bind the two countries, especially co-operation in important areas including energy, food security and economy, which contribute to expanding the areas of partnership and friendship in various fields.The two sides discussed joint co-operation and ways to develop these at various levels, and discussed the latest developments in Syria, the Iranian nuclear file, the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and ways to resolve it peacefully, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.
