Doha College, one of the oldest international schools in Qatar, proudly commemorated the remarkable achievement of its graduating students from the class of 2023, a statement said.
This year's graduates received 15 offers from universities ranked among the world's top 10 and many more from the world's top 100.
Eleonora Carta received an offer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Noumay Barakat from the University of Cambridge and the Imperial College London, while Ghita El Mernissi's best offer came from the University of Oxford.
Twelve more from the 2023 cohort were offered places in the Imperial College London and University College London, with many more offers coming from the University of Edinburgh and University of Manchester, ranked 15 and 28, respectively.
This accomplishment highlights the quality of education provided by Doha College and the exceptional abilities of its graduating students, it was explained.
Qatari entrepreneur Ghanim al-Sulaiti was the guest speaker. As a successful businessman and an influential community leader, he shared his personal experiences, emphasising the importance of having an open mind, embracing challenges, and taking new roads.
Principal Martin George extended his congratulations to the class of 2023 and stated: "The ceremony not only marked the end of an educational chapter but also heralded the beginning of an exciting new phase for each graduate. As they move forward to pursue higher education, careers, and personal growth, Doha College remains committed to supporting its alumni and empowering them to become global citizens and leaders in their respective fields."
