Qatar Foundation announced that Education City Stadium, in association with the Minaretein Centre – Education City Mosque, will host the Eid al-Adha prayers tomorrow (June 28) at 5.01am, marking the second time the holy event will take place at the renowned World Cup stadium.
Immediately following the prayer, Education City Stadium will host a festive celebration, providing an opportunity to spend time with family and friends and celebrate the occasion of Eid. The event is open to the public.
The Eid Festival will begin after the prayers and continue until 9am, featuring family friendly activities such as face painting, henna artists, air hockey, foosball, sub soccer and minigolf, as well as a variety of food vendors.
On April 21, Education City Stadium made history by becoming the first World Cup venue to be used for Eid prayer. Some 35,000 people of all ages gathered at dawn for the Eid al-Fitr prayer, which marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Due to the success of this event and the World Cup Legacy plans, the stadium will now become a permanent venue for Eid prayers.
Education City Stadium is accessible by Metro – Education City Metro Station (Green line). Parking is available at the West Parking Area, Oxygen Park, and Al Shaqab Parking.
