Billawas Qatar organised yet another successful Billawotsava 2023 with a mix of live music, dance performances, comedy acts, and traditional Yakshagana.
Colourful decoration at the venue created a feel of the rich heritage and beauty of Tulunadu. Equally stunning was the main entrance replicating the main entrance of Koti Cheneya Dwara.
The guests were greeted in a traditional style with playing of chende.
Indian Cultural Centre president A P Manikantan was the chief guest and popular Kannada and Tulu actor Pruthvi Ambaar the guest of honour. Guest speaker Dr Arun Ullal spoke on the significance of Billawotsava and the transformation the community has gone through to reach this level.
Bahrain Guru Seva Samithi's past president Ajith Bangera and general secretary Roopesh Salian were among the other dignitaries present.
A live performance by renowned singers Vidya Suvarna and Ramkumar Amin and a comedy show by Umesh Mijar’s team Namma Kalavider Bedra were among the highlights.
Dinesh Suvarna Rayee was the master of ceremonies. A souvenir, Pingara was also released. Billawas Qatar president Raghunath Anchan proposed a vote of thanks.
