Apple Inc. is working on new features for its popular AirPods earbuds, exploring major new hearing health and body-temperature features.
Bloomberg said on Sunday that Apple Inc. is developing a new hearing test feature that will play different tones and sounds to allow the AirPods to determine the level of a person's hearing ability. The aim of which is to help users test for hearing issues.
The company is also working towards offering cheaper AirPods models and transitioning to USB-C charging ports.
By next year, the product will also have ties to the Vision Pro headset, in addition to the already-announced software features that were part of iOS 17, as well as plans for new AirPods Pro and Max models.
