The number of tourists from other GCC countries had increased considerably in Qatar during the recent Eid al-Adha holidays, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported. A good number of them said Qatar is a good blend of heritage and modern facilities and they find new attractions in every visit.
Souq Waqif, Msheireb Downtown Doha, Katara - the Cultural Village, The Pearl Island, Lusail Boulevard, Place Vendome, Al Hazm, City Center Doha, Villaggio Mall, Landmark Mall, Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar and other locations were among their favourites.
Fahd al-Dosari, from Saudi Arabia and on his first visit to Qatar, expressed his immense admiration of the various tourist facilities. He stressed there are a lot for GCC tourists to enjoy in Qatar and spend quality time of entertainment.
Mohamed al-Minahli, from the UAE, on his second visit to Qatar, stressed his belief that the country has seen a lot of development and there are more new things to enjoy. Five star hotels in Qatar are giving good offers to the customers who stay more nights, he said.
Mohamed Salem, also from the UAE, observed that the overall Eid atmosphere in Qatar is excellent, even with the rising temperature. Many people opt to go to the Souq Waqif due to its heritage architecture. Some of Qatar's malls are architectural marvels, he added.
Fahd al-Hajiri, from Kuwait, said that some of his friends and family members gave him positive feedback about Qatar so he decided to visit the country for the second time. He felt at home during his stay in the country and enjoyed all the Eid festivities.
Mohanad al-Wadnan, from Saudi ArabiaSA, stresses that the beaches of Qatar are amazing and well-equipped with good services and facilities for the visitors. He said that the country enjoys diversified tourist sites and places, which respond to the expectation of many different categories of people, where they can spend a good time.
