During his visit to the State of Qatar, the Vice-President of the Republic of Turkiye Cevdet Yilmaz and the accompanying delegation visited the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) on Sunday.
Cevdet Yilmaz, accompanied by Deputy Director for Museum Affairs at MIA Sheikha Al Nassr, toured the museums various sections and wings, and was briefed on its holdings of Islamic antiquities, artifacts and rare treasures of heritage, including books, manuscripts and coins in addition to articles of glass, ivory, textiles, wood, gems, and historic artifacts dating back fourteen centuries, collected from three continents.
The Vice-President was briefed on the establishment of the Museum of Islamic Art, its role in spreading science, culture and arts. He also signed the museum's golden record.
