Turkish authorities announced the arrest of 511 illegal migrants in Istanbul, northwest Turkiye.
According to Turkiye's Anadolu Agency, the authorities were able to arrest 511 illegal migrants following inquiries about migrants in the area.
The migrants will be transferred to the deportation center of the State Immigration Service after the completion of legal proceedings against them in the Directorate of Security.
Turkiye's borders with Greece and Bulgaria have seen an increase in the number of illegal migrants taking the land or sea route in the hope of reaching a European State.
