The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on community educational programs.The signing ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater and HE Chairman of the Board of Directors of QRCS Youssef bin Ali Al Khater.The MoU was signed by HE Undersecretary of MoEHE Dr. Ibrahim Bin Saleh Al Nuaimi and HE Secretary-General of QRCS Faisal bin Mohammed Al Emadi.The memorandum aims to consolidate a solemn partnership that embodies both sides' commitment to achieving sustainable development through cooperatively implementing quality initiatives and projects that enhances the capabilities of various segments of society as well as raising community awareness, in line with Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.Dr. Al Nuaimi said that the signing of the MoU between both the organisations represents an important step in strengthening the educational role of the community and developing the skills of future generations, in line with the Ministry's goals and strategies.He explained that this partnership stems from the Ministry's belief that human development is not limited to academic education alone, but also includes the development of human and social values and the enhancement of life skills, contributing to the development of a well-rounded personality capable of facing future challenges.His Excellency pointed out that the memorandum supports the achievement of QNV 2030, which emphasizes human development as a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development. It aims to instill a spirit of volunteerism and community participation in students and promote a culture of social responsibility in schools.He added that the MoU includes the implementation of several educational and community programs, including the QRCS School Program which aims to prepare the school community to respond to emergencies, instill the values of solidarity and humanitarian work, enhance environmental and health awareness, and develop leadership skills among students.The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education noted the fruitful cooperation with the QRCS, expressing the Ministry's aspiration to achieve further successes within the framework of this distinguished partnership, as it contributes to building an aware and responsible generation capable of participating in the advancement of society.For his part, HE Faisal Al Emadi emphasized that signing the MoU with the MoEHE represents an key step toward strengthening joint cooperation, reflecting Qatar Red Crescent's commitment to promoting humanitarian values and enhancing volunteerism among students, in line with QNV 2030.He pointed out that this partnership arises from the Red Crescent's social responsibility and its belief that education is the foundation for building the future. He commended the efforts made to provide a safe educational environment, spread the culture of first aid, and enhance health awareness through various programs and initiatives, most notably the QRCS School Program.Al Emadi added that the MoU opens new horizons for implementing joint projects and programs aimed at instilling a spirit of giving and volunteering among students, contributing to the development of a generation aware of its responsibility toward society, emphasizing that Qatar Red Crescent will continue its humanitarian and educational role locally and internationally.Through this partnership, the MoEHE aims to foster community collaboration by implementing educational and development projects that enhance students' skills. Meanwhile, QRCS seeks to strengthen its societal role through various initiatives that raise awareness and promote the values of solidarity and volunteerism, highlighting the importance of institutions in achieving social and developmental balance.
