The State of Qatar on Friday welcomed the final communique of the Summit of Sudan's Neighbours, which was held in Cairo, deeming it an important step within the regional and international efforts aimed at stopping the fighting in the sisterly Republic of The Sudan, through dialogue and peaceful means.
In a statement Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar's appreciation of the efforts made by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, in hosting the summit. It also expressed the State of Qatar's hope that the outcomes of this summit and other good offices would pave the way for a permanent cessation of the military conflict, and then engaging in broad negotiations involving all Sudanese political forces, in order to reach a comprehensive agreement and sustainable peace that achieves the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people for stability, development and prosperity.
