The General Presidency of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque announced its schedule to replace the Kaaba kiswa (cloth) on Wednesday by 130 technicians and manufacturers as is the annual custom.
To make the kiswa, 670 kilograms of raw silk that is dyed black, 120 kilograms of gold wires, and 100 kilograms of silver wires are needed.
The kiswa is covered all over with Islamic inscriptions woven with black threads and comprises of four sides and a curtain for the door.
