The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in co-operation with Alfardan Automobiles, Qatar’s BMW dealership, has announced the recall of the BMW 735i Saloon and 740i Saloon 2023 model due to incorrect installation of the front seat frame, which leads to weak seat adjustment function.
MoCI has also announced in co-operation with Al-Attiya Motors and Trading Company, Qatar’s Kia dealership, the recall of Kia Carnival 2021-2023 models, due to insufficient alarm of the automatic side sliding door closing or opening, which increases passenger’s injury risk.
In co-operation with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co, Qatar’s Toyota dealership, MoCI has announced the recall of Toyota Supra, 2019, 2020, and 2022 models, as the driver’s side knee airbag was not installed.
The ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. It said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
