The Qatar Media Centre (QMC), affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, has launched a series of programmes, events and training workshops during the summer season, as well as a wide range of programmes on a variety of the QMC's digital platforms.
The QMC has geared up to broadcast first episodes of a new programme that highlights an elite of media professionals and Qatari writers who have nurtured the media, literature and culture and have had their own accomplishments in those fields. Each episode will be dedicated to one of these personalities.
In addition, QMC intends to launch a series of episodes by hosting a contingent of Sheikhs, preachers and religious scholars to guide young people on a myriad of topics that concern their life, as QMC continues to hold training workshops and professional media courses during summer primarily devoted to various age groups, especially youngsters as part of its role to provide everything beneficial, in pursuit of optimal utilisation of the summer vacation.
Director of QMC Eman al-Kaabi said this year's summer programme is miscellaneous and abounds with many topics and is not confined to a specific area, in order to balance the activities and to enable them to cover larger categories of community'individuals, pointing out that QMC endeavours to be ubiquitous at all levels.
This year's summer plan is consistent with QMC's aspirations to be closer to followers and to reach out to them through a series of beneficial programmes utilising its digital platforms, al-Kaabi said.
