Lulu Hypermarket, the leading retailer, has reaffirmed its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility by offering substantial financial support to the Qatari Autism Society as part of its ongoing efforts to contribute to humanitarian causes.
In a significant gesture of solidarity, Shaijan MO, regional director of Lulu Group, presented a generous donation of QR100,000 to Mohammad Faisal, executive director of the Qatari Autism Society. The handover ceremony took place at Lulu Hypermarket's regional headquarters, located on the D-Ring Road, and witnessed the presence of senior officials from Lulu Hypermarket.
Lulu Hypermarket had previously launched an Autism Day campaign from April 2 to May 2, aimed at supporting the Qatar Autism Society. As part of this campaign, customers were encouraged to purchase any Lulu private label products, with QR1 being pledged to the Qatar Autism Society for every purchase made.
Shaijan expressed their pride in contributing to the noble vision of the Qatar Autism Societyand said that the campaign not only raised awareness about autism but also demonstrated the company's genuine concern for individuals with autism and their families. The financial contribution made to the Qatar Autism Society will be utilised to provide training and support to families of individuals with autism through comprehensive programs and workshops. It will also focus on enhancing the capabilities of specialists and practitioners in the field through specialized training seminars and conferences. Additionally, the funding will facilitate the execution of various events, courses, and activities that promote the full inclusion of persons with autism in the community.
