Al Shehaniyah Municipality has continued its informative and awareness campaign "Healthy and Safe Meat" for two days, targeting livestock breeders in the barns, consumers in food establishments, and customers of Al Shehaniyah Central Slaughterhouse.
The campaign included distributing informative brochures to raise awareness on the reasons for destroying slaughtered livestock, mainly due to the effects of recent injections and tapeworm cysts, and their impact on health. It also provided guidance on how to prevent and handle these issues properly. Emphasis was placed on the importance of slaughtering animals within the slaughterhouse to ensure that the meat is subjected to veterinary supervision, and ensuring its safety for human consumption and complying with environmental safety regulations through handling slaughter waste correctly.
