The Katara, the Culture Village Foundation, summer camp will continue on Tuesday with a group of activities, lectures and training workshops, including first aid methods, safety methods, fire and accidents prevention, and others.
The programme includes lectures on hospitality and council etiquette, in addition to a visit to Al Thuraya Planetarium, a tour of the Al Gannas Society's headquarters, and encouraging sports competitions in football and beach volleyball.
As part of the activities of the camp, a lecture on personality types by Iman Al-Obeidi, a certified trainer at Al-Jazeera Media Institute, was held Monday. These lectures help in developing children's communication skills. The General Directorate for Drug Control also presented an awareness-raising lecture about drugs, and introduced children to the methods used by promoters to distribute them.
The Qatar Red Crescent Society also offers 4 training workshops throughout the camp's activities. This aims to introduce attendees to the basics of first aid and sound health rules, and embodies the joint cooperation between the Qatar Red Crescent Society and the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) regarding social, educational and voluntary activities, which contribute to building the capabilities of young people and future leaders.
