Qatar U15 table tennis team claimed silver medal in the team competition of the ongoing Arab Table Tennis Championship in Iraq, which will continue until Aug. 4, after 1-3 loss to the Tunisian team in the final match.
The Qatari team included Sultan al-Kuwari, Rawad al-Nasser, Yousuf Abdullah, Ahmed Eid and Abbad al-Abdullah.
In other competitions, Qatar U-13 team won third place and bronze medal, after losing in the semi-finals to the Egyptian team 0-3. The team included Mohamed al-Sulaiti, Issa al-Haddad and Abdulaziz al-Abbad, and had started their participation with a 1-3 loss against Algeria, but they made up for in the group stage by defeating Jordan 3-0, then Lebanon 3-1. In the U11 category, the Qatari team finished third, winning bronze medal, after losing in the semi-finals to the Egyptian team, the winner of the title.
